Qualidigm receives a silver Connecticut Quality Improvement Award (CQIA) innovation prize.

– Qualidigm announced today that it has been chosen to receive a silver CQIA Innovation Prize for it’s initiative on directed strategies that include culture change and use of a quality improvement consulting service to work with the nursing home staff for sustained positive change.

“We are very proud of this accomplishment. It is a reflection of our commitment to continuously improving the quality of health care in Connecticut,” stated Marcia Petrillo, CEO.” This year the 13-year old CQIA Innovation Prize received 65 applications. Using the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Criteria for Performance Excellence, applicants come from large, medium and small service companies, manufacturers, health care facilities, schools and colleges as well as state, local or federal agencies and other not for profit organizations.

Awards will be presented at the CQIA Annual Conference on Quality and Innovation being held on Friday, November 7, 2008 at Water’s Edge Resort in Westbrook, Connecticut.
