Consultant - PASRR Assessor - Rhode Island - Per Diem Position

Anticipated Contract Commitment: November 2007 Through June 2010

The consultant will be responsible for performing PASRR Level II assessments on patients meeting the established criteria for such assessments. Assessments are conducted as needed on new nursing home admissions as well as re-evaluations for continued stay as applicable. In addition, the consultant shall conduct on-site assessments within the state of Rhode Island on an as needed basis. This individual will provided education and clinical consulting to Department of Human Services as needed.

The ideal consultant must possess one of the following:

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with behavioral health focus
  • Licensed & Certified Clinical Nurse Specialist in behavioral health
  • Valid Rhode Island license as a Registered Nurse, with a Bachelor’s degree and specialty behavioral health training

Prior experience must include 3-5 years experience in behavioral health setting. Long Term Care experience a plus. Must also have strong oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate effectively with medical and administrative personnel as well as the “public”.

This consulting opportunity has work requiring in-state travel to nursing homes to perform duties. Must be able to travel independently throughout the state as required. Requires flexible availability in order to perform services within applicable timelines during normal business hours.
